In this video we show how to upgrade the firmware of a Power Quality Analyser. Modern test equipment manufacturers are constantly developing their products as standards and applications change. For this reason manufacturers recommend that you periodically update the firmware in there meters. There can be various upgrade options such as using a USB memory stick with the update file or using the setup software that came with the meter. In this video we show how to download the file from a manufacturers website and perform an update with a USB memory stick. You can also connect your analyser to the setup and analysis software used by the meter. The software will then automatically check if a firmware software update is available and perform the installation for you.
